Our place in Orvieto...the bella citta (beautiful city)...

We had a lovely drive through Lazio to Umbria...the "green heart of Italy"...it's really springtime here, and just beautiful.  Our apartment is in the medieval area of the old town, and is as cute as it can be.  It's down a couple of narrow, dark alleys, and is like living in a fairytale .  We even have the use of a garage...a very small garage...

The owners Francesca and Carlo speak very little English, but we're communicating well...Joe even went with Carlo to get a haircut...it's the first time he's been offered a beer while being "barbered" !

Francesca's father owns the woodworking business here, and makes sculptures for the entire town...quite amazing....

The duomo here can be seen for miles and miles...it is truly beyond description...I'll send pics of it later...but first, here are a few of our place and the sculptures around town....

Hugs, Chris and her "I can make those" husband

this portico is all wooden...on the corner of our street....
