As if we aren't having enough fun on this trip, we were invited to a birthday party ! Adriana and Oreste's daughter, Alissa, turned 5 yesterday...we had a special invitation to the party...and what a party it was ! There were plenty of kids, all controlled by two girls who have an entertainment business...what a great idea ! They plan the activities, keep the kids busy, feed them, and supervise them while the parents mingle. The kids played games, had popcorn (yum!) and cotton candy, had a "bouncy house", danced "gangnam style" to Psy's music " Hey, Sexy Lady"...it was too funny...
Adriana made the MOST BEAUTIFUL birthday cake I've ever seen...three layers of chocolate/nut cake with nutella (yum again) and whipped cream in between two layers, chocolate mousse in between the others and a whipped cream frosting that was out of this world...all decorated with a sugar glazed picture of the Winks (very popular fairies here).
Luckily, there was enough birthday cake left for our breakfast....
Everyone was so nice and welcoming, we really felt we were a part of the family...grazie mille, amici !
